Telepsychiatry & Online Medication Management in Seattle, WA
Seattle is home to more than 750,000 residents and anchors a King County metro area of over 2.2 million people — yet Washington State continues to face a documented shortage of psychiatric providers, with many counties designated as behavioral health professional shortage areas. Add in Seattle’s notoriously gray skies (the city averages more than 225 cloudy days a year, a well-known contributor to seasonal mood changes) and a tech-driven, always-on work culture at companies like Amazon and Microsoft, and it’s no surprise that more Seattle residents are turning to telepsychiatry for accessible, consistent mental health care.
Valiant Mental Health provides secure, HIPAA-compliant telepsychiatry and medication management for adults throughout Seattle and King County — from Capitol Hill and Ballard to Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and beyond. Our board-certified psychiatric provider delivers evaluations, medication management, and ongoing follow-up care entirely online, so you can get support without adding a commute across I-5 or the 520 bridge to your week.
Why Seattle Residents Are Choosing Telepsychiatry
Between long tech-industry hours, a high cost of living, and Seattle’s famously overcast winters, many residents find it hard to prioritize in-person mental health appointments — or to find a local psychiatric provider with openings at all. Telepsychiatry removes those barriers. You can schedule a visit around a demanding work schedule, avoid downtown parking and traffic, and get consistent, quality psychiatric care from home, whether you’re in a high-rise in South Lake Union or a house in West Seattle.
Conditions We Treat
Our Seattle telepsychiatry practice supports adults managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including:
- Depression and seasonal mood changes
- Anxiety and panic disorders
- ADHD
- PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
- Bipolar disorder
- Insomnia and sleep disturbances
- Stress and burnout related to demanding careers
What a Telepsychiatry Visit Actually Looks Like
- Book online — choose a time that fits your schedule, no waitlist required.
- Complete a brief intake — share your history and current concerns securely before your visit.
- Meet your provider by video — a real, focused evaluation from wherever you are in the Seattle area.
- Get a personalized plan — including medication management if appropriate, with prescriptions sent to a local pharmacy and follow-up visits scheduled as needed.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re glad you had a positive experience. While we can’t always accommodate same-day appointments, we always do our best to get patients scheduled as quickly as possible. We appreciate your recommendation!Posted on Google A LTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been seeing Randy for probably a year now. His style of counseling is right up my alley: No bs and no coddling. I can speak directly and openly with no judgement (and sometimes I even get a laugh out of him.) Anyone who thinks he's dismissive or claims he said he can't help them obviously needs to do some introspection. If he said he can't help, I guarantee the entire statement was "I can't help you if you're unwilling to help yourself." Therapy is about wanting to be there and wanting to improve mental health. Anyone unwilling to face the ugly in their lives won't be successful in therapy, *regardless* of the therapist.

Randy was very patient, addressing all my concerns, and he listens extremely well, clarifying misunderstandings instead of jumping to conclusions. He was also very clear about medications and the negative and positive side effects of each type, and how they interact with my medical history personally. He is a *very* good psychiatrist. Most of all, I appreciate the flexibility he offers in scheduling appointments at nighttimeor daytime, weekdays or weekends, and in person or online. This is incredibly helpful for shift work and unpredictable schedules. I have had bad experiences with psychiatrists in the past, and I recommend him as one of the best options around.
