No — that’s one of the main advantages of telepsychiatry for Windward residents. As long as you have internet access, a highway closure or rockslide that would derail an in-person trip to Honolulu has no effect on a secure video visit.
Can psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, be prescribed through telehealth in Hawaii?
Most psychiatric medications can be prescribed via telepsychiatry.
